Eggstra Special welcomes you to the wonderful world of eggshell art. In the late ’80s while living in Japan, I fell in love with many Japanese crafts, and in particular a technique for decorating eggs with handmade paper called Washi. I quickly discovered new and wonderful ways to take the simple, blank canvas of the egg and transform it into countless unique are pieces.
Inspired by Faberge, yet using infertile real eggs of all kinds, I am able to create everything from jewelry boxes, holiday ornaments, necklaces and even elaborate pieces, such as the Magical Mermaid Rhea egg shown.
Come to see my studio, by appointment, or sign up for a class to make your own unique egg. Visit www.EggstraSpecial.com to sign up for monthly, email newsletter for more information. Happy Egging, Virgi Bondi.

James A Dunham Magical Night of Music all new “Dunham Night” has been established to honor and pay tribute to a very special man, Jim Dunham. He was a music lover all his life and a gifted singer and pianist. Jim was the director of the Lake Havasu Community Choir from 2013-2018. There, he started the choir’s scholarship program for students in Lake Havasu. He was also the Music Director at Grace Episcopal Church and Bell Choir director at Grace Episcopal Church and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Jim was a devoted supporter to all things musical in our town.
Our wish is that the community enjoy the talents that are in our own little town and help us keep the music alive and thriving in our community, our schools and our children, just as Jim would have wanted. Our 2nd Annual “Dunham Night” will be held Friday, March 20, 2020 on lower McCulloch Blvd. starting at 5 pm. All net proceeds will go to the Lake Havasu Schools Music Programs, carrying on Jim’s wishes.

Lake Havasu Unified School District is a strong supporter of the Arts in Lake Havasu City. We believe it is important to expose children to the Arts at an early age. Students from elementary through high school have the opportunity to participate in band, choir, dramatics, and visual art experiences. Students also present public performances throughout the city at various events, as well as have their visual art displayed at district sites and in local art shows.
The District also supports the Arts by having its Performing Arts Center and Little Theater available for rental to the general public. This allows for local and outside groups to bring a wider variety of Arts to Lake Havasu City.
For more information on how to rent these facilities contact Judy McClintock at the District Office, 928-505-6915 or visit www.havasu.k12.az.us
